Relatively ancient and inactive

Pokemon MMORPG would be ausum.

Also, a fantasy MMORPG with a really expansive land, four times as large as the WoW, and with actual roleplaying. And good graphics and fighting. Unrealistic, but I can hope.

SCIII, an MMORPG where you can pick one of three races (and factions, generally opposing) and rank up via strategic and FPS-style missions in a direction of your choosing - something not far below admiral, for instance, or maybe a master troop-leader. Something like that. Or a ninja-spy-assassin-ghost-tank-killer.

You're absolutely right! Except, Paper Mario became a different franchise from the original super mario rpg.

The one I'm talking about is a direct sequel. Bring back all the original characters like mallow or geno and place them, along with the mario crew, into another story. I don't see why square is still holding the copyrights for them when they haven't used those characters, ever again.

What's so hard about a console pokemon? I mean like an actual would-be handheld pokemon series, only it's on a console. Y'know... original pokemon, gym leaders, etc.

No I mean like you actually walk around Routes, Cities, Grass, Water, etc. searching for pokemon to catch and use against the gym leaders, earning badges, fighting against Team ______, and finally challenging the Elite Four.

Fuck a console one... They'd throw it into 3D, and it would lose all the awesome.

What made pokemon "awesome" was the concept of catching and raising your own custom monsters, not the graphics.

Oh, and a Megaman mmorpg.

Smithy, and the Axem Rangers = Coolest villans ever.

And you do mean a Megaman X mmo right? Cause Megaman himself is a total panzy compaired to X. AND NOT THE X IN THE CURRENT ZERO SERIES, come on, X > Zero. Which reminds me, not once do you hear about zero being infected with the Sigma Virus, yet another wonderful video game screw ups

Megaman Legends MMO is the only kind that'd work. Also it'd be awesomely fun.

A game where you ride a giraffe on stilts as you carry a gun. Now that's amazing!

3D Object Battle Arena!

Players create characters in separate 3d modeling programs, which the game would have import functions for. Then you designate abilities which your object can perform, assigning each to a key or something. Then load two or more characters into a battle arena, AND FIGHT UNTIL ONE OF THE POLYGONS EXPLODE!

The key point here is that you could simply take any 3d model created on a variety of programs and import it into the game.

3D Escape Velocity with multiplayer support, and randomized planetary systems.

Kirby MMO. ... =D
Damned awesome. Gimme mah Biospark, or Wisp, NAO. D:<
Oh, and give it a gameplay style like Diablo II's or something, with spatially- and time-oriented combat, none of that "KILL IT WITH [ 5 ] FIRE [ spells whose only purpose is covering each other's cooldowns ] " crap. Gods. That'd be totally out of place in such a game, anyways. Even turn-based would be better...
edit: Hell, a Kirby card-game could work...

I think it should be 2D. Maybe 3D Graphics but on a 2D plane, like Sins of a Solar Empire. Screw randomized planetary systems. How would you fix that on multiplayer?

They should have an official release version of Total Annihilation: Spring
(Total Annihilation being the precursor to Supreme Commander)

TA: Spring combines RTS with FPS elements.

It'd be interesting if a major game developer picks up on this and balances the two elements out somehow.

An MMORPG, or at least multiplayer version, of TES IV: Oblivion. That would be so incredibly awesome... With more, different weapons and armors that is.
Homebrew project already in effect. Aiming to support 2-4 players currently :)

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
