Very well, I concede my misuse of the terms, but I still think it's dumb to point out something like that and use it to bash someone else. Reminds me of grade school when people would point out to me that they actually had four fingers and one thumb (or other things along those lines).

That's when you point out to said idiot that the thumb is indeed a finger, albeit an opposable one. You are doing the same thing, communicating poorly and acting smug when you're misunderstood. Not me.
