FG Beta 1.14 Mods Phail

I get an error when I run most mods made with Firegraft beta (SC1.14). It really pisses me off because I cannot update them into normal Firegraft mods OR play them. It tells me that it cannot find the file "unit\". The thing is, there is no such file called "unit\" and there shouldnt be a file called "unit\". Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any ideas about fixing it?

I was reminded of this issue when I saw a 1.14 mod in the DLDB (Starcraft Team Fortress).

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

DoA killed the format of fgps a while ago.
Whatever you're trying to do it won't work.

Also, for the thing about not being able to play, sounds to me like you were in an incorrect version
Don't say FG fails, please.

fuck you all

http://www.freewebs.com/webmaster50/annoying.pnghttp://www.freewebs.com/webmaster50/annoying.pngI was on SC1.14! All I am trying to do is run the mod! FG doesnt fail. FG Beta fails on my computer.

This is the exact error I get when I run most FG Beta mods on 1.14 (the correct version):

Only a few FG Beta mods actually work for me. If someone would send me the FG Beta (for 1.14), I could open the mod and re-graft it into 1.15.1 (which works fine for me).

I get that problem when I make incorrect changes to the string files, or when I set the compression on my MPQ's wrong. I've never had it attributable to Firegraft itself.

I dont even make changes. However, there is a connection to string files. When I actually add a file called "unit\", the mod runs, but the strings dont appear.

Maybe Firegraft beta sets MPQ compression weird sometimes also? Anyways, do you know how to fix this?

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
