I found some Quake 4 monsters and marines as player models for Unreal Tournament 2004, but they all use the default player sounds. Anyone here know how to give them their own custom sound sets (for both player sounds and chat sounds, like man 'down', and 'in position')?

I already posted on some UT2k4 forums a while ago, but I haven't gotten any replies, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here.

Don't know, but it would be cool if you modded a few assault maps too, then you MIGHT get me to reinstall it *imagines the sexy AI combined with Q4's setting and story*
[hint]I want a copy when you are done[/hint]

Heh, if I could edit maps, I'd edit an onslaught map I have where any player that respawns is pointing directly at the sky XD. I'll upload it somewhere and PM you a copy when it's done.

Too bad I couldn't find any Stroggos onslaught maps. That would be really cool, lol.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
