As many of you know, when you connect to a website, that website gets your IP adress, and your IP adress can be used to find out what country you are connected from. There are some website that I used to visit when I was living in the US back in 2005, and now I cannot access those websites because I am outside the US. I wanted to know if there was a way to make those website "think" that I am in the US. Any help would be apreciated and please READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE POSTING.(Thats because in many of my topics, some people read half of it and ask stupid questions that are answered in my post)

Um, i have now idea what a proxy is. Link?

EDIT: ok, i read up on Wikipedia about proxies and I think i got it now. I found a proxy website but its not helping me much. The website I want to access is the Kiss FM website (A radio in Los Angeles). They have a listen live feature on their website but I cant get to it. I used a proxy but all it shows me is "loading content" and a little icon spinning around next to it. I can access the website but not the online radio steaming.

Proxies dont load Java Content, or Script sometimes. PHP and HTTP are fine though :D

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
