So I think my wireless adapter is shit and has been giving me a poor, unstable connection. My phone's wifi is 30u/10d and when I used it as a tether my computer was also 30u/10d. If my adapter is the problem I'll need a new one.

Does anyone have recommendations of any good wireless adapters or usb dongles? I'd like it to be under $50 ideally around $30.

None.

When I was building my computer, I was going to get the one that Roy linked, but it was out of stock or w/e, so I got this one: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/G4H323/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwdn4800

I've had 0 problems with it and it's always connected, so if you can't get the Gigabyte one, this one is good, too.

You don't need to spend anywhere near that much: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008IFXQFU/ref=pd_aw_vtph_147_bs_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5J47PTCND09GW2SHGEAZ

You can get them as cheap as $2 + shipping, although a few people complain about the distance those ones work at. Depends what you need it for, you could go with a cheapie one and if it doesn't work, you're not out much.

Just here for the activity... well not really

I'm a little late but make sure you get one that supports dual-band (both 2.4 and 5 GHz). Some of the super cheap ones (like the one Lanthanide posted) don't, and it's a huge difference.

NimoStar -- If its any consolation, the human brain would still mop the floor with this bot if it wasn't limited by the mechanical interface

NimoStar -- Well. The bot didn't come up with any new strategy. It just has superhuman micro. Hard to beat that. I reckon even the simplest dedicated chess engines are unbeatable for humans now.

Oops, caught me there, no I haven't. :( I was imagining how the game went. Sorry for that. Watching it now. brb

NimoStar shouted: They were not "Unprepared" that was their fifth loss in a row against the bot. The other replays are also available
that doesn't mean he was prepared. When humans come around with new strategies it often takes weeks until the pros figure out how to shut it down. Oh_Man that's certainly a way more convincing argument for micro being "too good to beat".
