VILE EGRESSION 2 : THE REVENGE!

On August 1st, 2009, Laconius dropped a bomb on the StarCraft community: his epic Protoss campaign Vile Egression. Though some may have been worried by the campaign's seemingly short length, this three map project in fact contained hours of gameplay, some of the most unique and interesting mechanics we've seen in a StarCraft campaign yet. But we all know the gameplay was not the most important part of this campaign. Vile Egression's stunning storyline carried its characters through turmoil and war, showing us that in the face of impossible dangers and anguish, we can press on and triumph and find hope. Even during the Zerg invasion of Aiur, the practical genocide of the Protoss people, the protagonists' love for each other carried them through. No other campaign has matched this level of emotional poignancy, even though so many have tried to rip off Vile Egression since its release.

That's why I'm proud to announce our tribute to Laconius' awesome campaign: Crescendo Entertainment's own official sequel! Vile Egression 2: The Revenge begins its monthly release today! It's been a dream of ours for years to give an homage to Vile Egression, and we at Crescendo Entertainment are so glad that we have finally seized the opportunity. But this joyous occasion is also met with tragedy; for merely three years ago, our beloved Laconius passed peacefully away in his sleep.

Laconius, you were an inspiration, and your legacy will carry you on. We still cannot believe you passed on so young. You'll live on in our memory, as you have taught us so much.

Lac, rest in peace. May your soul find release. We won't forget you.

It's fully voiced and comes with a mod, so it's a bit more sizable than most of the other releases the community offers these days.

I am sorry, I said can you reuploaded the Viles Egression 2 not Kenyan Dilemma. Somehow you might check your filelist, and don't get mixed up again.

It's pretty amazing how you didn't pick up on the joke the first three times.

Oh_Man -- No training is very computational expensivr it doesnt train in real time tht culd actually be used against it

NudeRaider -- Oh_Man
Oh_Man shouted: Hope that makes sense. Also artosiscast just dropped a 1 hour vid he analayses a bunch of its games. The TLDR is the maphack is responsible for a large percentage of its wins because its just hard countering zerg rushes
People keep mentioning it's a bot using reinforced self-learning (or w/e the correct term is) but I wonder, does it still actively learn now that it is deployed? How does that work? Or was it trained on like 100k games playing against itself and now training is finished and its capabilties are now static?

NimoStar -- ban the bot :))
[05:17 am]
Oh_Man -- Like it doesnt even bother to build a comsat unless it sees a lurker or dt, etc

Oh_Man -- It's EMULATING the behaviour of a control group select and move without having the actual functionality to do that

Oh_Man -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: yeah but it looks like pluto's eAPM is still 6000 based on issuing all those orders
k the APM is inflated because it issues 12 identical orders individually. Its not 12 unique orders
[03:02 am]
Vrael -- which does reduce down to the same tradeoff I mentioned below, aka trading APM for time, but still interesting
[03:01 am]
Vrael -- and while the reaver was reloading it used that time to aggregate enough marine/tank to fend it off
