An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

Metro 2033 (wiki) is available for the low, low price of $0.00 ($0.00 after taxes) on the Humble Bundle store today: https://www.humblebundle.com/store

From what I've gathered, Metro 2033 is a video game made by a video game company. If I had to guess, it's about a post-apocalyptic world 19 years from now where Microsoft has taken over the world and forced flat color styling upon the last of humanity.

The offer expires November 8th 10:00AM PST, according to the site.

Here's a quick pricing chart:

USD: $0.00
CAD: $0.00
GBP: £0.00
EUR: €0.00
AUD: $0.00

From the wiki article:
Metro 2033 is a survival horror first-person shooter video game, based on the novel Metro 2033 by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. Metro 2033 was developed by 4A Games in Ukraine, and was released on Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in March 2010.[4]

In Metro 2033, the player controls Artyom as he moves through the ruins of post-nuclear-apocalyptic Russia. The player uses guns of both real and fictitious designs to kill mutants and hostile survivors. Most of the game takes place within the Metro system, although Artyom does venture above ground on rare occasions.

Metro 2033 received somewhat favorable reviews: it was praised for its horror elements and detailed environments, but it was criticized for its buggy artificial intelligence and its many graphical issues.

she/her

It's a great game for its atmosphere and story alone, if the interested player is into that sort of thing.

Metro 2033 is I pretty good game, so I would definetly recommend getting it, especially for free. It's one of the best looking shooters out there. Though I kinda ruined it by reading the book it's based on before getting around to finish the game ^^

I have no idea what to put here... So I guess I'll just put this here.

I already paid for the game before this sale and I felt sad I couldn't get it for free... Although I did get both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light for $10... Too bad Last Light is extremely bad with optimization. At least with a GTX 650 card... (DR3 is said to be poorly optimized, but I don't suffer from FPS drops when I set it to console graphics)

The game is really nice, better than the sequel IMO.

For anyone who missed out, I still have a gift link to get the game free. Just send me a PM and it's yours. (I'll edit this post if/when I give the key out.)

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[04:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
