Woah

I love it. I think it's a fun FPS that sort of combines TF2 and a MOBA. I think the tongue-in-cheek approach they're taking to certain characters is great, and I'm assuming this will be an awesome stepping stone into a new IP/universe.

The one thing I think they should change is the ability to have multiple of the same character on a team. I saw one game with 6 Reinhardts on one side, and nothing could kill them. Balancing for that would be such a huge pain.

:payne:

One time, we ended up with 3 Widow-Makers on our team. The other team never even got to leave their spawning building... 2 of the opponents had 0 points at the end of the game. It was sad. :(

I hope they'll provide players with a Map Editor. There were definitely too few maps.

Woah

I'm sure there will be many more maps by the time this thing hits beta. It would be silly for there not to be.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
