Really fun game, still in alpha, but definitely worth playing. Haven't had this much fun since Terraria and pretty much addicted to it. Anyone else want to play?
I'll give it a shot. I liked terraria. Post your server info!
Edit: The only drawback I see is only 4 people. I had some friends who want to play as well.
There are already mods for the game and one of many is a dll injector that raises the cap from 4 to 128. The only problem with doing this is that when a player leaves a server that is over capacity, there is a high chance the server will stop responding. Of course it is a mod of an alpha that hasn't even been available for a week yet.
I have hosted a server with 23 people in the same vicinity and it didn't seem to lag. I sense that the game is incredibly well designed.
If you want my server info, add me on skype or send me a PM.
Why would I play it when it's still alpha instead of waiting for release and thus improve (hopefully) the experience? (Serious question)
Honestly the game has a retarded amount of content for an alpha. Also there are people who are in in the extremely high level range through completely legitimate means, since there is no level cap and enemies can get extremely high as well. Example being there is a pretty popular streamer that is over level 400 and sees mobs that are higher than him still.

have a mumble as well same address using the default mumble port
I can host roughly 15 people before you start to notice a little lag every now and then, definitely nothing game breaking. Since the game is mostly client side it doesn't lag in battles because of the server, that's on you. It's once I get up to 40 connections the server does start to lag, so my server is limited to 31.

I got the game as well.
Can we get info on the player limit extender? I was attempting to extend the limit myself without much luck (more players could join but then it would break).
Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
