Every once in a while when I'm doing random stuff on the internet, my connection just stops working suddenly. I look in my Network and Sharing center and there appears to be nothing wrong, all green. I always have to reset the network adapter or unplug my modem, or even both. It's something that's happening almost daily so please help o.o

More info is needed before anyone can help you.

1) What hardware is involved? (i.e., is this on a laptop? Which router and modem do you have? Is your modem supplied by your ISP? etc.). The more info, the better.
2) How long do you lose connection?
3) Are you losing connection to the router, or just losing internet access?
4) Have you made any driver updates recently when this happens?

Quote from Roy
Get an Ethernet cable and wire that bad boy through your modem to see if the problem persists; if it does, it's a problem with your modem/ISP.

If that's fine, do the same except through your router. If the problem is there, then your router is bad.

If that's fine, it's an issue with wireless, which could still be a hardware issue with your router, but it's more likely just interference/a software configuration issue.

2) I lose connecton until I reset the network adapter or reset my modem
3) Internet access
4) No driver updates

Did you miss the second half of my post, or do you not have an Ethernet cable (one should be running between your modem and router at the very least)?

If it's not a wireless connectivity issue, it's your modem or your ISP. Contact your ISP.

How about the internet light on your modem during the outage, is it off/on or red/green?

I would suggest using another modem/router to test that it's not a corroded line coming into the house. If it works, you know it's your modem/router that needs to be replaced, if it still has outage issues then theres a good chance that the line leading into your house has become corroded.

Other than that it could be a wireless connectivity issue like Roy mentioned.

@Roy
I have to constantly share my internet with other people and the internet connection only drops maybe once a day so it'll be hard for me to connect directly to a modem.
@staxx
All the lights on my modem is green and all the lines are green in my Network and Sharing Center. My computer is next to my router so I just use an ethernet cord to plug into the router. I don't believe I have any spare modems/routers available.
I also know that the dsl light drops to a red whenever somebody calls the homephone so I replaced the dsl filter that my modem was using with another one in another room which fixed the problem but I noticed that my internet connection drops more often. Idk if switching the dsl filters around is causing it or not though

NimoStar -- If its any consolation, the human brain would still mop the floor with this bot if it wasn't limited by the mechanical interface
[05:34 pm]
NimoStar -- Well. The bot didn't come up with any new strategy. It just has superhuman micro. Hard to beat that. I reckon even the simplest dedicated chess engines are unbeatable for humans now.

NimoStar shouted: They were not "Unprepared" that was their fifth loss in a row against the bot. The other replays are also available
that doesn't mean he was prepared. When humans come around with new strategies it often takes weeks until the pros figure out how to shut it down. Oh_Man that's certainly a way more convincing argument for micro being "too good to beat".
