I'm looking into livestreaming for the One Week contest. I know some of you have experience with it- what are the best programs/websites for doing so? I tried out XSplit with Own3d and TwitchTV last night but I couldn't seem to get a decent combination of framerate and quality.

None.

Lord of the Locker Room

As much as I despise Adobe, I had success with Flash Media Live Encoder on twitchtv. I was able to stream ps3 @ 720p without any issues. Someone had to walk me through it though because setting it up was irritating.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

If xsplit is giving you trouble, then as Iskatu said, Adobe FMLE is the next best option. There's also FFsplit but that's still beta (or alpha?) and didn't work well for me so I have no experience with it.

Here's some useful guides:

The second one has information on streaming fullscreen Brood War; I haven't been able to get it to work but others report success with that method. If you can't get it to work then you'll have to use windowed mode.

Red classic.

NimoStar -- If its any consolation, the human brain would still mop the floor with this bot if it wasn't limited by the mechanical interface
[05:34 pm]
NimoStar -- Well. The bot didn't come up with any new strategy. It just has superhuman micro. Hard to beat that. I reckon even the simplest dedicated chess engines are unbeatable for humans now.

Oops, caught me there, no I haven't. :( I was imagining how the game went. Sorry for that. Watching it now. brb

NimoStar shouted: They were not "Unprepared" that was their fifth loss in a row against the bot. The other replays are also available
that doesn't mean he was prepared. When humans come around with new strategies it often takes weeks until the pros figure out how to shut it down. Oh_Man that's certainly a way more convincing argument for micro being "too good to beat".
