I personally am looking forward to Pikmin 3 (why wouldn't I?), The Last of Us, Halo 4, ZombiU, Resident Evil 6, Dead Space 3, and Assassin's Creed 3.

Being unable to skip ahead in these videos is ridiculous.

The only game that really interests me is God of War. And not for a lot of good reasons.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Still Napping

Star Wars 1313, Pikmin 3, and Halo 4. Fuck yes.

God of War looks weird. The multiplayer looks forced and stupid, like they had to put it in to add something new, but they just half-assed it. Halo 4 looks interesting; I just don't like how the Promethians look like Bionacles. Watchdog and Star Wars 1313 are absolutely beautiful, and both games look really innovative for their respected genres, especially Watchdog. I really can't see the Wii U being anything amazing; I just think Nintendo has fallen way too far behind in the race to suddenly become a big contender again.

GoW has multiplayer? I only saw this brief demo of SP I guess. It looks just like every other GOW with the typical sony gimmicks, e.g. use this button here. And it still has fucking quick time events. When will developers stop shoehorning this garbage into games already? Hammering a button to prove your viking strength doesn't make a game any more involving. It's just lame.

Unfortunately despite all this, GoW is the only half-decent series I've played in an exceedingly long time. I'll probably be getting it if only to keep up my LP series with it.

Yeah, they've got some like team-oriented multiplayer where you kill monsters and stuff to gain points and ultimately slay some giant cyclops or something. It looks really stupid and forced, but God of War has always been awesome, so I don't know. I wish I had a PS3 so I could try it out. :(

GoW isn't really a game where multiplayer could easily work except for a co-op campaign. But that would be incredibly hard to balance, and GoW is pretty imbalanced as it is (though 3 only really got bad near the end).

she/her

I remember in GoW3 I was mashing the punch button for like an hour waiting for something to happen LOL

EDIT: (At the end of the game)

I made the mistake of buying Elder Scrolls for the PS3. I won't make the same mistake with Watch Dogs.

Ugh consoles are shit I only ever buy PC. The consoles are so out of date that this year heaps of the developers admitted they were showcasing their game on a high-end PC with an xbox controller.

They did that with 1313 and then have the gall to tell us it won't be on the PC... FUCKERS.

Watch Dogs looks amazing though.
Asscreed 3 also looks great, I was pleasantly surprised by the naval combat. I don't think I've ever seen naval combat in a game before, save Star Trek Bridge Commander.

Beyond two souls, watchdog, RE6, Dead Space 3, and even maybe ZombieU. :). They all seemed like stand outs to me. Also of course Halo 4, Assassins Creed, Tomb Raider... :P. Really can't wait to play these.

Splinter cell look really interesting this time around and I was never a big fan because of that quick kill system of tagging people and insta killing them cinematic style. The challenge comes from aiming correctly to get it to look all cinematic-ish. It looks like it'll be as rewarding as when you used to swing around in the spider man games because for some reason web swinging is really rewarding, feels good.

I'd say Ubisoft stole the show. Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed III, Watch Dogs, Rayman Legends, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

The list of games that actually caught my attention in no particular order:
  • Assassin's Creed III
  • Far Cry 3
  • Rayman Legends
  • Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist
  • Watch Dogs
  • Borderlands 2
  • Dishonored
  • Resident Evil 6
  • Crysis 3
  • Dead Space 3
  • Medal of Honor: Warfighter
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
  • Halo 4
  • Gears of War: Judgement
  • God of War: Ascension
  • LittleBigPlanet Carting
  • The Last of Us
  • Tomb Raider
  • Hitman: Absolution
  • Dead or Alive 5
  • Metro: Last Light

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
[2026-6-20. : 6:15 pm]
Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
[2026-6-20. : 3:43 pm]
NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
