The Banning Game vFred

***Based off of The Banning Game By: Azrael666

This is a brand new version of the Banning Game.

What is new?
-New Terrain: The Banning Game is now in a circle instead of a rectangle so now you are never too far from your own Beacon, and you are also always the same distance from the other beacons.
-4 Ban All Players: There are now 4 of these instead of 2. They are in a + shape based off of the middle of the circle.
-Ban All Players is fixed: You can now have 3 Zerglings in any of the Ban All spots and it will ban everyone.
-Zergling replaced the Terran Civilian
-Names are stacked
-Everyone is the same color (Black) so that you cannot target one person because they are too good
-Balanced stats
-Disconnect banner if you press Enter when you have been banned (To make sure that people cannot drophack - May be better improvement later)
-5:00 game timer (I am unsure if this is new)

Just a note that I finally got the name "Azrael" on Bnet, so now I'm just going by Azrael@USEast ^^

I'll try this out sometime.

It wasn't broken, I just didn't intend for it to work like that :P The idea was to be able to use it to lure people away from the opposite end, and to have a possible means of threatening someone who was leading by a significant amount.

can't you still target 1 player by allying all the others (assuming allying is still possible, I can't try the map as banning game doesn't work on macs :( )

Haha, fair enough :P It seems like it'd significantly increase how often the game ends with a defeat for everyone, so let me know how it works out for you.

Well the timer is only 5:00, so it would be a fairly quick game anyways. Even with the Ban All, it's only if people are stupid enough to go in there lol...

EDIT: @3FFA: You can, but it is harder and most people do not care enough to unally someone. I'm sorry that it does not work on Macs :( It is because of my EUDs that detect pressing Enter and the EUDs that disconnect a person from the game instead of giving them "Defeat".

I don't know why you'd want to make all players black...
isn't the player to player interaction the key to the game?
It's like making everyone in Phantom the same color...

It's so you cannot specifically target a player (I believe as already stated above). You can also unally/ally people to really find out who is who, but it just makes it more interesting. It also makes it harder for people to team up since they do not know who is who.

I'd agree with Unholy, knowing who is who is what makes the game fun. Everyone being black is dumb.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
