:rip: does not reflect RIP accurately! Sure, if someone like dem0n is complaining about some girl in the shoutbox, :rip: could be appropriate but its more like : sick :. I want a proper RIP face that expresses the emotions of a truly dead thread/idea/person! Changing :rip: to like a grave would work but you know, I'm sure SEN administration can think of someone a little more creative, but with the same feelings as a grave and not :rip:

Yea, this is my second time campaigning for a smilie change, but hell, I just don't give up!

Just make it less green? Not that big of a deal seeing as how nobody uses it, IMO. But don't let me rain on your parade. I would consider changing it. <3

Woah

Great, now we can have a new trend of topics suggesting we change smileys.

I agree with TiKels, I rarely see this used so who cares? I don't plan on changing it. I don't see an issue with it other than perhaps the color. Not to mention you haven't suggested an alternative smiley to replace it.*

*And by suggest an alternative, I mean an actual smiley image not just an idea for one.

So, drop the hammer, Dev. You know Raccoon is posting crap and his "Exhibit A" is contrived nonsense. :wob:

I wanted to have more of a "Rest in peace AO" but I got more of a "Woke up on the wrong side of the bed AO" :lock:.

I think the point is that it's not used because it's crap and doesn't accurately reflect the idea of 'death' or RIP.

You should look up what contrived means.

Unless, of course, you know what it means and you are telling me that you suddenly became legitimately interested in modding and your first post in the modding forums ever just happened to be one where you sincerely wished to extend condolences on issues regarding Mesk's projects that you've never once shown the slightest bit of interest in?

I went to a few mod nights when I still played SC, I never modded but I did play mods. I never post in SC mapping forums but I still play SC maps and have an interest in them, as well. But this is irrelevant! If the best modder on SEN posted what I posted in that thread, their posting of ":rip:" still would not have had the same affect as "rip." I can go post ":rip:" in HoN thread and probably accomplish the same effect.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
