I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

STARCRAFT II - Free Character Name Change
--- Battle.net ---

Blizzard spends another name change for everyone who used his/her name change already.

Quote from Blizzard
With the introduction of the BattleTag system, we’re in the process of evaluating how they might be integrated into StarCraft II, and how they may impact character names in the future. Instead of making everyone wait until we know how that integration could affect a name change system, we’ve decided to provide an additional free character name change for StarCraft II players eager to pick something else. We appreciate everyone’s continued patience and look forward to sharing more information on the future of the StarCraft II service as it becomes available.

If you'd like to change your character name, log in to Account Management and choose your StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty game license. On your game license screen a "Character Name Change" button at the bottom will initiate the request. After confirming that you'd like to change your character name, simply log in to StarCraft II and you'll be prompted to select a new one.

The commentator Apollo analyses 2 of the new maps which has been crafted for Teamliquid's Mapping Contest:

  • Cloud Kingdom

This map was created by ESV SUPEROUMAN and it is the first foreign map apaort from Blizzard's ones used in the GSL.

  • Korhal Compound

This map was created by ESV monitor and spawned discussions about siege tanks hitting the third base from high ground.

These are 2 maps of the season 6 which already started in the middle of this week.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
