Lockpicking isn't that easy man. Although at this rate, you people can't get anywhere without resorting to ghetto lock-opening methods.
I've picked pin tumbler locks with a mini paperclip several times. Lockpicking isn't as hard as it sounds; I have a pick set in my wallet and used to pick into my apartment rather than carry a key around with me for practice. Deadbolts are the easiest to pick, I've found.
And while we're on the subject, you can pop open these padlocks I'm finding everywhere with something stiff and thin, like aluminum torn from a can.

I've hacked several times. Hacking isn't as hard as it sounds; brute force algorithms, for example, are one of the easiest things to write.
And while we're on the subject, you can use social engineering to "hack" things as well. One of the best places to find a password to a computer is under the keyboard.

He was referencing fallout 3, where every container that was locked had a computer terminal next to it that could unlock it (alternatively you could just pick the lock)

Crowbars, etc. aren't all that difficult to find. Most doors found in mall strips aren't really built to prevent excessive force. That or break the lock. If it's just a pin and tumbler just smash that shit.
