I'm trying to start a little home recording studio (primarily vocals).
I have a few things set up with a mixer to USB, and I really only want a
cheap computer with a good soundcard that I will use exclusively for the recording. Suggestions?!
None.
Onboard sound in 2011 can record at 96kHz/24 bits per sample. If you for some reason need higher fidelity than that, you probably already own a million-dollar recording studio.
None.
I also need good playback though, for mixing purposes.
None.
First off, you're a jackass.
Secondly, notice how none of those results have actual builds for computers? All the advice is either software or buying a prebuilt computer, which is something I'm not interested in.
None.
I think if you put your mind to it, you'll work out why they tell you just to buy a pre-built computer.
None.
