Campaign Creations brings to you the next level of contests. Creation is key here. The possibilities are limitless. The time frame? Months. Let your imagination run wild in this, the Campaign Creations Campaign Contest!

Okay, so you get it. It's a campaign contest, that ends in pretty much half a year from now, giving you plenty of time. What do you use to create though? Any of these games! StarCraft, WarCraft III, Diablo, Diablo 2, or StarCraft 2! Any restrictions? No! Use all the tools designed by the community, or none at all! This is your project, it's your story, it's told how you want to tell it without limitations to production value!

"I get it, already, but where are the prizes?" That's probably your last question. Well, without further delay, the top three winners will get the following to pick from!

The only thing that actually interests me in there is the SC Game Board, jus' 'cause 'am curiouz.

I kind of want that battlecruiser.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
