Miner Wars is a 6DOF underground and space shooter played in a fully destructible environment and is a combination of single player story game and MMO.
I'm iffy on the MMO format of it. Sounds interesting, though. What do you think?

As a player, you operate an advanced mining ship in an open world asteroid belt area. You dig kilometers of tunnels, harvest the ore, travel the solar system, fight your enemies and discover deep secrets.

The only times I've ever seen any site display positive comments by random people in quotes are when the people who maintain the site sux.
Then he said something about "state of the art rendering technology" and I think I pissed myself.
Thanks, but no thanks.
You sound like you have an opinion but don't know why.
My opinion is that this game is one of the other hundred thousand "MMO"s created by either some corporate douchebag with no experience and lots of money, or a bunch of indie kids who think they know what they're doing. My opinion continues to state that this game looks horrible, and in fact, more boring than World of Warcraft to me. The advertisement (youtube video you posted) alone makes me cringe and want to stab kittens. I fear for all other small mammalian creatures if I actually had to play the game itself.
The fact that they claim it has 'state of the art rendering', would imply to me (and anyone else with half a brain cell), graphics on the level of this:
slightly off topic of miner warz! but supports my argument
And this isn't even Unreal Engine 4, which is scheduled for release between 2012 and 2018, which I consider, state of the art rendering.
The graphics could be considered "state of the art" in terms of the simple set of things it's meant to do. I don't see how that doesn't apply. Though I also don't see how it's supposed to be any kind of priority for the game, either.
I think just the idea of combining the voxel terrain concept over a vast area in 3d space in an MMO setting (which must definitely be a feat of coding for any indie developer) sounds interesting in its own right. Let alone the added Descent and Eve Online-genre gameplay allusions.
If that was the trailer, then it was absolutely dreadful. If it was some bullshit video trying to show off different aspects of the game (like a developer's video or something), then it was still dreadful.
tbh it kinda looks like a mix between every space fighter game in existence and that game that you all played in which to go to different planets and mine their shit and stuff.
Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
