Just here for the pie

Started playing through Chrono Trigger again, and started up Super Mario RPG. Also playing through Link to the Past because I've never completely beaten it.

About a month or two ago i decided i would finally go back and beat half-life 1 on worst difficulty. Was fun.

Was most of the reason I did it. It's also not finished. I also watched huskystarcraft play black mesa after I was done, much to my contentment.

Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire
Quest for glory was a fair part of my childhood. Was never good at the games and never got far at all, but still was there. That and rayman 2 the great escape.

Same, I did manage to finish it though. But missed out on heaps of the secret side quests and stuff, so never got the full 500/500.

Also I never played QFG1, so you want to be a hero, until my adulthood lol, all I had was part 2 in my childhood.

Awesomely, you can get all these games on GoG now:

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
