This is going to be a PvP map. Basically it's a smash up. You have three heroes to select from. Each hero has it's own unique set of spells.

The game works tournament style. It will select two players out of the four and the loser will be eliminated. Then it will repeat one more time and the winners will face off in a final match.

The game has four players due to my lazy map making style. Basically, this has no story, it's just a bloody brawl with my personal touch, and hopefully it sounds good to all of you.

Classes:

Asura -- Powerful attacks, but weak against quick melee.

Berserker -- Fast paced class. This class relies on being in range of their opponent at all times, and dealing quick damage.

Behemoth -- This class has high defense, but it's attacks are all gun-based.

------------------------------------------------

Spells Per Class:

Asura:

Energy Orb -- This spell creates a circle of explosions, that deal damage to enemy units in range.
(Main attack against close range)

Shock Wave -- This spell freezes the enemy unit within range and creates an explosion above, dealing heavy damage.
(Extremely powerful and used for retreating, but can only be used every once in a while.)

Energy Wave -- Pushes opponent back about maybe 6 - 8 tiles.
(can be used frequently)

Heal -- Heals a portion of HP at the cost of MP.

Berserker:

Blood Lust -- Draws an opponent that's in range next to the Berserker and creates bloody explosions above the enemy, dealing them heavy damage and then throwing them back.

Blood Explosion -- Creates bloody explosions above the Berserker. If the enemy is within range, it will deal high damage to the opponent.
(This could be used in combination with Blood Lust if you cast it first)

Bloody Spikes -- Makes a lurker appear under the Berserker for about 3 seconds.

Heal -- Heals a portion of HP at the cost of MP.

Behemoth:

Rocket Fire -- Creates two siege tanks right next to the player to deal damage from far away.
(can be used frequently)

Throw -- Throws enemy back and freezes them for one second.
(Can be used in combination with Rocket Fire)

Guns Of Fury! -- Creates explosions above the enemy, stunning them with gun shots.
(can only be used once in a while, but deals high damage)

Heal -- Heals a portion of HP at the cost of MP.

------------------------------------------------

Spell Breakdown:

Mana Points will not be regenerated. Instead you will just have to spend wisely. This will make it more strategic for the players, so that they can't just spam the same skills over and over.

Basically, I am going to try to use a death count switch, for frozen or drawn/pushed units, so that they cannot fire spells while they are being attacked with a spell.
(The player casting the spell may cast two in close sequence)

(this is going to take a shit ton of triggers though)

I will also utilize a downtime for skills, with a deathcount timer.

------------------------------------------------

Class Stats:

Asura: High in MP, but low in HP.

Asura is a class that likes to Kite. They should make themselves hard to catch for opponents.

If you are out of MP, attack move would be your best choice.

Berserker: Medium HP, Medium MP.

This class, wants to be as close as possible, and try to finish off the opponent quickly.

Behemoth: High HP, low MP.

This class can take high damage, and can also deal it back, but they have low MP. :)

Thanks, it may be a really old idea, but it's got the spells and names from the mmorpg that i'm currently into. Probably not for long, so I am making a map for it instead.

I will probably add spells later. SC1 isn't totally dead I guess.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[04:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
