Relatively ancient and inactive
My backup external hard drive broke, so I lost my safety net and I need to build a new one. I'm interested in some backup management software - specifically, something that can do stuff like automatically sync two external HDD's that are connected to a computer, so that they hold identical information, and update themselves based on contents of my laptop's media folders. Additional features welcome, of course.
None.
I don't use any specific backup software myself.
What I'm suggesting isn't a bread-and-butter backup program either, rather it's a comparison program that can compare directories as well as files. I use old old old version 1.9 at work for merging/diffing code and it can also work on directories, but version 3.0 looks like it has lots of great features for managing file system backups.

Whereas other backup tools you come across will probably only support specific ways of doing things, and not work for anything outside what they're designed for.
