This is a single-player map I started quite a while ago but only recently decided to revamp it to make it of quality (by my standards anyway).

In case you're unfamiliar with the plot here...

You are Solid Snake and the bad guys have a giant nuclear equipped robot that you must blow up. Along the way, a large variety of people are trying to kill you.
You'll need to use your instincts to survive!

You will need to run StarCraft with the Sneaky.MPQ file (with MPQDraft or something like that) included in the zip file for the game to work properly.

If you're having trouble, the Readme file in the zip should hopefully help you out.

Feedback is greatly appreciated. If you encounter any issues, please let me know.

Enjoy :D

You could actually upload this to SEN's database; then you wouldn't have to use your attachment space up.

Oh, I see.

I got a question about that.
Quote
.zip files with a single map will be denied.

This has only one map in it, but it has other files in it too, such as the mod needed for the map. Would it still be rejected?

I don't believe so. You could always make an installer (.exe) that installs the map and mod for the user using something like http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php if they refuse your zip file.

If you want, I could create a Firegraft version of this map. This would let you have a better UI and stuff. (Firegraft can change button sets and stuff, and with a plugin you can add completely custom code to the game. It can also do everything you can do with a custom MPQ.)

Yeah, I have firegraft and considered using it for this but doesn't that require an older version for the mods to work properly? I didn't really feel like bothering to deal with that.

Ah.

Well, I didn't really feel like it was necessary to use it.

NimoStar -- Unless specifically logged and retrained. But that wasn't in the original version. It just played itself
[01:28 pm]
NimoStar -- it has a static training, which is converted into weights. it doesn't actually learn from new games.

NudeRaider -- but it would explain why that bot needs cheats to win

oh but alphastar training was *very* cpu intensive.

Oh_Man shouted: Hope that makes sense. Also artosiscast just dropped a 1 hour vid he analayses a bunch of its games. The TLDR is the maphack is responsible for a large percentage of its wins because its just hard countering zerg rushes
People keep mentioning it's a bot using reinforced self-learning (or w/e the correct term is) but I wonder, does it still actively learn now that it is deployed? How does that work? Or was it trained on like 100k games playing against itself and now training is finished and its capabilties are now static?

NimoStar -- ban the bot :))

Oh_Man -- Like it doesnt even bother to build a comsat unless it sees a lurker or dt, etc
