We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

excuse me, but what's the point of the game when you can apparently answer whatever and it's your turn?

Basically the objective is to find the item from the post before in 15 seconds or less, then report on whether or not you were able to find said item. Then ask a different item of the next poster.

Well, I can read, thank you. Unfortunately that doesn't explain the point of this ... game(?).

I assumed it was a test to see how close a topic could get to spam and still not get locked.

Jan 7 2011, 9:22 pm DevliN Post #72

Woah

If you have the option of answering "no," then this is pointless and should be considered spam. If you can only respond if you can answer "yes" to the question, then I can see the potential game.

So that said, I completely agree with Nude and there seems to be no point to this.

Alright, I agree with DevliN. New rules, you may only suggest a new item if you were able to find said item in the allotted 15 seconds.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
