Zealot graphic => Blink animation = dumb

Stupid question that shows just how dumb I am with actors. I edited the Zealot (Prisoner) model to use Zeratul's Blink animation as its graphic by changing the model to Zeratul - Blink Out (or w/e it's called). When I placed the Prisoner Zealot in the editor, though, it only played the animation once, even though I put an actor event called on actor creation that plays the birth animation with "play forever" set.

Halp?

EDIT: Basically, I want Zeratul's Blink animation to be a unit. ;o

Really I don't know if this is possible. As far as I can tell you need a stand animation in order to have a functioning unit model (possibly something else as well).

Woah

So you want the smoke to be a unit? The only thing I can think of is using an invisible model as a unit, and attaching the smoke model to it so it looks like the smoke animation is the unit.

Ultraviolet -- just sent you a message on Discord. I suspect you're probably trying to change unit speeds for units that don't use flingy.dat for movement (like any units that walk instead of hovering/flying). You can change their movement to flingy, but they unfortunately look more like they're gliding than walking when you do that.

Symmetry -- EE2, I've been using setdatfile successfully for units.dat and weapons.dat but the flingy changes don't seem to happen

Ultraviolet -- in EE2 you just open DatEdit, go to the flingy tab, and make whatever changes you want. Though if you want to do dynamic shit, you have to use the trigger editor with the setdatfile action. And of course you have to inject your changes when done. Can give more specific troubleshooting advice if you provide more details
