So I saw this video by HuskyStarcraft... and I thought "I have got to try this out." What do you guys think on it's viability?

This could work, but the Protoss was terrible. Protoss should have scouted better, and he didn't get any warpgate technology or any robotics facility. I think an immortal + probe pull probably could have stopped this push, or just lots of stalkers maybe. You could try it, but proxies are always dangerous, especially if you get scouted.

Lol. No this isn't viable in higher level play.

Although, I was thor rushed along with a ton of marines and a couple SCVs the other, and it hit pretty fast. I don't recall if he had a proxy factory though, and I fast expanded, and I almost held it off, and I accidentally made a really bad micro mistake about a minute before the thor showed up.

Thor rushes are great vs bad players, but not vs decent players.

Looks viable with good worker micro. His build was not super-efficient too, he could've had that a good bit sooner. Seems like the timing is perfect for a 4-gate counter and reminds me of the Odin mission, haha. =)

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
