:payne:

I'm trying to create these 2 custom spells:

Push Field:
- Range 2 (done)
- Pushes all units within its range
- Destroys the Barricades
- Lasts 3 seconds (done)
- Cooldown of 20 seconds (done)

Barricade:
- Permanent (done)
- 10 charges

I'd really appreciate your help over this! It's basically all I'm missing to declare this map complete! :awesome:

P.S. The map lags horribly since I've added those Tarsonis Arrow doodads (and there aren't that many at all!). Anyone knows why? And are there better arrow doodads?

Working on it.

The barricade was easy, you forgot to make the max charges 10. When I went in there it was 0. So change the 'Count (Max)' to 10 in the 'Cost - Cost+' field.

Is that only on multiplayer? Cuz it didn't lag at all offline for me.

Thanks! :awesome:
I was testing it offline. I guess it's just my CPU that can't handle the doodad's light effect while the screen moves that much or something.

A doodad may have been the issue on my Zergling Blood map as well, too bad I can't change it now though. :\

I got the Gaurdian Shield to push, I decided to just make the push thing myself instead of copying off of other abilities, so I'll just send you the file when I'm done. I'm having a little trouble with the Force Field destroying, but I'll get it working. So far, when he hits a Force Field, he dies, not the Force Field. :\

EDIT: Okay, got the Guardian Shield complete. Just fyi, you could do some of the stuff you do in triggers in the data editor pretty simply.

Could you elaborate please? :)

Btw, thanks for the spells, they work perfectly.
I liked your idea of making the barricade actually suck in the players... but I am not able to do such a thing! :><:
Should it suck it the caster as well?
Should I really use Charges for the Barricades or would a cooldown be good?

Like, instead of using triggers and regions, you could simply make a behavior that would kill any probe that goes near the unit and give it to the Observer.

That's up to you.

Perhaps keeping the charges, but making them regenerate every lap or checkpoint? Like, 1 lap = +5 charges, or 1 checkpoint = +1 charge

Ultraviolet -- in EE2 you just open DatEdit, go to the flingy tab, and make whatever changes you want. Though if you want to do dynamic shit, you have to use the trigger editor with the setdatfile action. And of course you have to inject your changes when done. Can give more specific troubleshooting advice if you provide more details
