The Alien

This is my first real attempt at a Use Map Settings, Battle.net online map Since "Zerg-Attack Ice" 4 years ago.

Its a very simple map, This is what im gonig to call a Re-learning map.

So like it or hate it.

You need at least 4 players, but a full house would prob be better to get a fun game (hopefully)

Anyway, At the start you are the Alien or Not the Alien, All players are (Tan) colour, So it's harder to know who is the alien.

Mission Objectives are simple, If you are the Alien
you must kill all Marines. To help you along your way you get a choice of 3 forms (plus your human form) and a few buildings to help you.

Marines objectives are simple aswell, figure out who the Alien spwan is
by teaming up with people who you know are not the Alien and destroy it. But that will not be easy. As all players are (Tan)

But life is made easy, There is a "Auto-Scanner" somewhere on this map. Catch the Alien out. Get all marines on this Scanner (one at a time) to find out who is and who is not the Alien.

Alien Units:

- Alien Type one (broodling): Weak, Fast, Small
Health Points: 100
Attack Damage: 2+1

- Alien Type Two (Zergling): Fast, Strong
Health Points: 130
Attack Damage: 3+1

- Alien Type Three (Defiler): Very Weak, Can cast: Dark Swarm, Plauge.
Health points: 80
Attack Damage: Dark Swarm, Plauge

Human Units:

- M16-Marine (Marine): Medium Strong, Medium Pace
Health points: 100
Attack Damage: 3+1

In Game Buildings:
- Alien Hyper Dome (Nydus Canal) x4

It sounds alot like "The Thing" that have so many versions. But also it doesnt, its kinda weird. But GL, hope its better than the thing (so damn boring "The Thing"...)

Here ill help you. Make the aliens stronger or the humans weaker in health so it doesnt take so much time to kill them... People get pissed when it takes forever to kill something. And in-game can you choose one thing then turn itno a human then alien and it will be the same u chose last time or is it choose again?

Like i said GL and i hope this gets u back on top with map making man. :D

You can swap from any of the alien forms. At any time of gameplay, EXP: Human > Alien Type 1 > Alien Type 2 > Human > Alien Type 1.

So you think I should increase attack damage by how much, 5, 10?

make the broodling like, instead of 2 or w/e it was make it like 13, so ya by like 10 atleast for each. but like 4-5 for the marines.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
