I'm less looking for what YOU don't like on your hotdog ("EWW MUSTARD IS GROSS" "EWW KETCHUP IS GROSS"), and more of weird but delicious things to put on a hotdog. I am trying to make some good hotdogs for myself, and I find I want to be a bit more extreme than "ketchup and mustard".

Does sun-dried tomatoes sound good to you all?

Well chili looks good. I've never had it, but it looks good. D: I saw this program where the people use this tool to pull out the middle of the hotdog, and then stuff if it with different things, then plug the end back in. You could try doing that, but it may be hard trying not to break the wiener.

How about what I DO want on my hotdog

I want the bun to be a pastry. Like a donut but in the shape of a hotdog bun. Chocolate. The hotdog needs to be filled with liquid butter. The outside of the hotdog needs to have crispy skin like on KFC chicken. Then their has to be relish and chili on the skin and some honey mustard. Maybe throw in some fish? mmmm.

I have enough time to make one quick post before I have to leave for the weekend, and this looks like a good place to put it.

I still remember the best hotdog I ever had, a few years ago. It was a hotdog bun with a slice of cheese placed diagonally inside of it. The hotdog was placed on top of that, and the cheese quickly began melting to it. On top of that was (in this order): ketchup, mustard, relish, a small amount of horseradish sauce, chili, and topped with diced onions.

I find hotdogs to generally be a very forgettable meal, but this is one I'll remember forever. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. The next time I feel the need to make hotdogs again, I will certainly recreate this formula. I will probably add a bit of Huy Fong's Sriracha sauce as well, if you want it to be spicier than this is definitely the way to do it.

Ultimate hotdog: Ketchup, Sun Chips, cheese, M&Ms, very small pickle spear, and if you're feeling extra adventurous and don't fear the soggy bun, watermelon dipped in red flavor Kool-Aid. Pretty much the best. You have to use M&Ms, though; other non-coated chocolate won't do because it'll melt too easily. >.>

I've heard that hot dogs are one of the most grossest foods since they don't even tell you what most of the hotdog is made out of. All you know is animal parts, that's all. However the well prepared ones like the one in the northeast usa are good. Maybe add some...."special sauce"

Call me old fashioned but wtf are you talking about a culinary art? Every time I see something that says "gourmet hot dogs" I think the company is really just trying to make an extra buck because their 'quality' is 1% higher than store bought.

However, chili is delicious on hot dogs. And cheese.

Anything that involves food can be a culinary art if you are clever enough, and SEN, being full of diversity and uniqueness, I figured some interesting ideas would come out of the woodwork. Though I'm fairly certain the WTFdog is a made up piece of crap.
