An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

I wanted to play Interceptor Arena when I realized I didn't have it... So I made my own :P

Interceptor Arena
One player controls the direction in which the interceptors fly. The other players have to dodge the interceptors for 10 minutes. They have 99 lives, but because you can lose 20 lives a second if the interceptors are going the right way, it's best to assume you only have one.

Player 1: Controls the interceptors. Can order them to go to any side/corner of the map. I didn't add a 'movable spawn point' because that's a cheap strategy.

Players 2-6: Controls a zergling. Dodge the interceptors. You can get hit plenty of times before you actually die, but when you run out of lives, you cannot be revived.

Eh... Give me feedback on this map if you be so kind as to. It was finished with minimal testing and probably has a few bugs. I'm used to making bounds, anyways :P

UPDATE:

- Fixed invalid spawn problem.

I've always wanted to use an obstacle like this in my bound.

Well, for a bound I'd recommend using the "set generic" AI script, rather than just moving the interceptor (which orders it back to the carrier).

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
