So I learned there are ways to make yourself look like your living in the US when you're obviously not. Problem is, my friend doesnt want to pay for said services. Im looking for an alternative where, if there is one, setting up the VPN tunneling to go through my computer. If there is software to pull this off, please lemme know.

To just fake your location you can simply use a proxy. There's tons of them.

I wish to use this for gaming, not internet browsing. Probably shoulda mentioned that.

So you want to create a VPN with a gaming server? Or just with your friend?
I doubt you need the latter, but for that you could just use Hamachi.
For the former I can't help you.

There would be a way you could set up tunneling through Hamachi, but you would both need to enable a certain hidden setting, you would need to set up sharing your internet connection to use the Hamachi virtual network device (making note of its settings before you do so, because Windows will end up changing it), and your friend would need to manually set up some routes.

You may be able to use the PPTP VPN type that Windows has and you may not need to do any special configuration except for the port forwarding and the Internet Connection Sharing setup, though I think I've heard that it is less secure/easier to hack into. I think your friend would only need to set up the connection and wouldn't need to manually set up any routes (the built-in client in Windows may take care of that).

There is also OpenVPN, but that would be difficult to set up unless you have a router with built-in support for it (most likely only an open source router), like pfSense 2.0 beta. In the case of having a router running pfSense 2.0 beta, the server-side setup is fairly easy and there is a client export package you can install that can make an installer package that will automatically set up the client for you (it can make ones for Windows or for Mac).

I found there are also instruction online for setting up a VPN server in Windows that someone would connect to over Hamachi rather than over the internet. It would be kind of redundant in some ways, but it would be easy to set up and would be another way to get it working.

I had a feeling there could be a way to do it via hamachi, and I was trying to look up a tutorial of such on google, but couldnt find anything. What all would I have to configure on the other computer to use my internet connection and not theirs?

As for the Hamachi + Windows VPN idea, I'm actually not completely sure how to set it up. It might be as simple as setting up a VPN server in Windows and having your friend set up a VPN connection to your Hamachi IP and connecting to it, or there might be more to it. I thought you could select the VPN server as the connection to share the internet connection on, but it doesn't seem to be available. It is possible that having "Allow callers to access my local area network" checked on the TCP/IP properties for the VPN server might do it.
