Anyone in SEN own this game? I already finished the single player; which had a nice, long storyline. I would still play for 100% completion and multiplayer free roam, which is way more fun than GTA IV's free roam. One problem about multiplayer is when an enemy player is always killing other players with the "Casual" aiming on instead of Normal or Expert.

Shogun

I own this game for the 360. It's a great game. Have you hogtied anyone and left them on the railroad while a train approaches?

Yes, I did that to people who tried stealing horses from other people, and the man who tried to cut and stab a woman at the front of a saloon in Armadillo.

So far, I finished every stranger task, finished the game, unlocked every outfit. Except three of them where one requires 100% completion, another requires all challenges to be finished, and another where I just need to beat all players in poker at Blackwater.

Just here for the pie

I got this game yesterday. I have to say, it's one of the funnest I've played in a really long time. The lasso is the ultimate fun weapon - I love being cruel and dragging people with it while on a horse as well as hogtying them and then later executing them. I'm up to the mission where you have to go with that Marshall to track down the bandits - I used the lasso to disarm a lot of them and discovered you could do cinematic executions when up close :).

I haven't tried out the multiplayer yet as I have to renew my LIVE.

Cool, lil-Inferno. The lasso is very fun to use, but sadly I don't think anyone can use it in multiplayer. I did not see anyone use it, perhaps for balance purposes.

Also, I finally made everyone bust on poker (In which I won $500 through gambling in poker) at Blackwater and I finally received the US Army Uniform. I finished every challenge except some Master Hunter challenges. The majority of the challenges are extremely tedious, especially Survivalist, Treasure Hunter and Master Hunter. Since they often force the player to collect and constantly travel. Hunting, harvest plants, finding treasures is a another variant of collectibles. Once I finish 100% on the Single Player, I might as well try finishing every challenge and level up to 50 in multiplayer.

Oh, and I like how the game has a tendency to poke and make fun of people from the Wild West and at the era of 1911-1914, obviously against the conservatives (no offense, but the developers love poking fun against them) and stupid people in America during the era. Such as referencing "high taxes", "Prohibitionist", "Women's suffrage movement" (Seriously, go watch a $2 movie in a movie theater, you will find a male perspective against women voting), racism, "cocaine" healthy for people until said it was said to be bad according to a newspaper from 1914 in the game, and it goes on.
It also tries to be historically accurate with Outlaws, Lawmen, Mexican Civil War, Native Americans, Chinese immigrants, improved technology during the era regardless of fictional characters and a fictional setting.

There are some glitches here and there, but Rockstar San Diego made the game very well. Though one glitch had basically broke the game, where the stagecoaches were jumping up and down, not able to move. One mission involved racing with carts (attached to horses, of course) and no one moved, not even me. I had to restart the game to fix that up.

EDIT: I'm done with the single player, 100% complete and I own the last outfit which is nice to see how I can create many crimes and kill people, which I'm allowed to do so with the outfit. Hunting is extremely tedious, especially when the challenge is open, the animals in the challenge suddenly becomes more rare to find. Before and after a hunting challenge is complete, the animals in that hunting challenge suddenly spawned more often. What the hell? Normally I hate cougars because of how random, and jumpy they are when they maul my horse. But suddenly they become rare at the time when I should knife two cougars according to a challenge.

Now onto multiplayer and the remaining achievements. :)

EDIT2: Oh and I like to mention about the glitch again because it was hilarious. Some guy asked me to return a stolen wagon, and the guy on the stolen wagon can't move because of a glitch. All I did is used the lasso to remove the thief from the wagon, and suddenly the wagon went flying and fell down to the ground. The guy that asked me to return the wagon said "Thank you, this wagon is my life!" and follows where the wagon had landed. I also did not return the wagon at all, I just removed the thief. It's really that amusing to me.

For a wagon that bounces up in the air, no wonder he said it's his life.

NudeRaider -- blessed innocent soul knows nothing of the strife we had before EUDs were discovered :teehee:

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
