Who here is heavy metal? I'm heavy metal. Are you heavy metal? Heavy heavy heavy.
Anyways.
What bands do you listen to? My favourites at the moment are Testament, some of Metallica's old shtuffs, Manowar and Disturbed (not really HEAVY heavy metal, but meh, Hell is a pretty good song). Minor Judas Priest in the background.
pre-black album, black album, or post-black album? (Apparently that was some sort of turning point.) Personally, I hated the black album (and apparently I'm weird for that). Eh, not a big fan of disturbed or nu-metal. I prefer more classic bands from late 70s/early 80s and such. Judas Priest always has something that I like.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of exposure to metal bands, so what I know of is quite limited.

Pre and during Black, mostly because of Enter Sandman (that was first on the Black Album, right?). Not a huge fan of their new stuff.
I like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Disturbed, Metallica, and Drowning Pool (is that metal?). Yes, I like shitty music. ;o
That's mostly nu-metal and Metallica. ;o

Besides the occasianl judas priest links from farty, stratovarious, malmsteen, blah blah there's Dream theater that I really like, not exactly HEAVY metal, though, but it's still awesome and there's also some spanish bands like rata blanca and avalanch

When it comes to Metal, I am mainly a Thrash man. (or Glam) My favorite Metal bands would be: Megadeth, Annihilator, and Iron Maiden. Testament and Judas Priest are both awesome bands that have put out some great tunes, but I have yet to buy from them.
I know More Than Meets The Eye and Shout 2000, but Droppin Plates was a new one by me. It was good, but ended so flat.
Since it has been awhile since I have last listened to them, I forgot to mention Black Tide.
Their first album was so flawless, I really have high hopes for their sophomore album. However, when it comes to second albums from great first albums, you can never really be safe.
lol @ black tide. The only other song I know is Warriors of Time.
Droppin' Plates is annoying, I think ..
... Modern 'metal' (like nu-metal .. like disturbed) isn't nearly as amazing as oldschool metal. D:

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry -- Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
