I could not play that map simply for the fact I suck really bad at them xD
Looks really cool though ^_^

Anyway wow just shows how expansive the sc2 map maker is =)

Yea, that game looks fantastic. And I thought THAT looked hard.... So I'm like, "Hmmm, what the hell is Touhou?" and after taking a look at this video, I almost crapped my pants.

I hope those crazy Asians will be able to completely capture the feel of that game with the release of SC2 and the complete editor.

Relatively ancient and inactive

That looks very uninteresting, actually. Well, ports are always easiest, hope they start making originals soon. :D

Cleared it on my first try. :bleh:

It's actually pretty damn close to the actual series, though; the Galaxy editor can produce some really amazing shit in just a couple hours. Just wait until they refine it and add more than one boss/level.

Main complaints:
-the controls were a little sluggish (particularly apparent on Aya (third character, camera button)- her attack also felt pretty clunky, compared to the original)
-no alpha channel on Reimu's (right selection, blue homing bullets) shots- it's really hard to dodge things if you can't see them through your own bullets
-invincibility frames being represented by the character blinking in and out is rather disorienting (esp. when you get teleported back to the center of the screen when you die)- could use some alpha channel there too (cloaking?)

Oh, also, Touhou is Japanese (just to clarify, since you probably meant the map was made by a korean)

Finally another epic uber Touhou thing, and yes i know Touhou is Japanese (now :-_-:)

Wait til someone makes a transparent invinc ;O

Didn't this game come out in the 70's already? (I know it did, this is clearly a remake of the type: Space Invaders)

Anyway, it looks like one of the most boring games ever made. I'm so glad I was born in the 90's, the dawning age of decent video games.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
