Was wondering if there was any resources on this or if anyone has experience with it. I'm trying to make a hill that is accessible from all sides but I never really do extended terrain a lot.
This is a rough draft of what I'm trying to go for.

Pretty good. Favorite's the left rear -- the shortness of the grass makes it look like it's actually sloping away from the viewer -- as it should.

The easiest way to do that would just be to drag out grass and paste high grass-high dirt transition in the middle, although it has visual height problems.

Badlands Grass can be blended in virtually identical ways as Jungle aside from the hue difference. Reference some of the backwards ramps on Jungle to help if you need to.

Oh Jesus.
Those ramps aren't even mine. They're from an open source website called "BroodWarMaps.net".
But it's OK. Everyone is quick to assume/judge these days.

We can see that from the URL, lol.

BWMN's ramps all suck except JungleTerrain's.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
