I just got placed in 1v1 diamond >_<. I lost one of my placement matches as well, but I guess their logic is awkward in determining initial placement. I really didn't wanna be in the Diamond league after my placement matches... So yea i got initially placed in Diamond so forget about what I said before about diamond being an incentive beyond platinum.

It takes into account scoring and APM, as well as favouritism in the placements.
Right now I'm gold 3v3, platinum 2v2, and I would be in diamond 1v1, but it didn't count my last match and I'm too lazy to play another.
