Ok Winamp has gone to shit on my computer in terms of CPU usage. I can play a game with 20 fps and when I turn it on it goes tits up and suddenly were lookin at 5.
I need a new alternative to listening to music (No I dont have a CD player, MP3 player, or anything nearby that could produce audio)
What does SEN suggest?

I use iTunes, and I like it just fine. Doesn't seem to be too resource intensive either, and its very easy to organize, make playlists, and shuffle. I never saw why people used Winamp, as it never worked right for me or gave me anything iTunes didn't except a bit more customization in terms of UI and such, but the trade wasn't worth it when its organization was so bad. I also enjoy iTunes 'sound enhancer', some of the albums I listen to had less than perfect production crews working on them, and it really helps un-muffle the guitars and such.

Stop using the new bloated versions of Winamp.
Use
version 2.91. It never let me down in any respect.
It also runs directly from the archive - no need to install. Just put it on your flash drive and play music on any windows computer.
Winamp 2.9 is the greatest music player there is. Small, efficient and it
is very resource friendly.
Should you ever need anything special there surely is a plugin.
You could also try Winamp Lite, which is further down on the downloads page for Winamp. It is basically like the older versions of Winamp, but apparently they still keep it up-to-date, because it has the same version number as the full program.
None.

Relatively ancient and inactive
I use the zune player, because I'm too lazy to register new playlists twice now. I also used to use songbird, because it was awesome and would properly work with non-Latin-based languages. Lots of plugins, can sync with most things, and I never had a resource problem with it. Full-featured, methinks. Had I found the same language-allowance, I would also have used Foobar, because it looks very nicely customizable and resource unintensive. So, I recommend Foobar and Songbird.
Also, if anyone knows of a way to properly get Foobar to work with other alphabets properly, a way to get a non-Zune player to sync with all zunes, or a way to sync playlists between different media players, I'd be very interested.
None.

It has a lot to do with your local settings. Note that I can't get it to work properly either.

Yeah, I'd searched for a bit and found nothing. Songbird can't handle everything language-related perfectly either, but it properly displayed about half of my songs names. Your screenshot looks fine, though; I'd love if all the nice Russian pieces were just shown in Cyrillic like yours does in whatever asian language that is. Mine kept showing up as Latin vowels with random accents except on the more obscure encryptions, where even creepier signs would spring up.

After 3 hours of continuous usage I'm pleased to report that things are still running good, and winamp 2.9 was indeed made for this computer in mind. Also theres a bass preset that works a LOT better with headphones included in this version compared to the 5 I was using.
Thanks again nude.

I don't remember exactly what was different between the older Winamp and the newer Winamp Lite. I think it also supports videos and the options may be organized just a little differently (but not much different). It might work with a few more formats and has at least a couple additional features. It should work just as well as 2.9, as far as I know. I have it on here and it hasn't seemed to be any slower. CPU usage isn't higher than I would expect it to be.

You're welcome.

The bass EQ presets are selfmade by me.

Actually it's just the generic smooth curve I always use. Smooth EQ curves always sound more natural than hard changes in gain from band to band.
And in case you wondered: The skin and playlist are also set by me. I just uploaded my Winamp folder as is.
Glad it works for you. However I might try one of these light versions one day if it's true that they are like the old versions with just some modernizations.
bento skin is nice.

Bento doesn't seem to work with this version. Probably only for newer ones.
