Ok.. I'vebeen using ScmÐraft 2 for a while, about 2 years and all of a sudden... I'm getting this error FOR ANY GAME I SAVE
"Something bad happened" No matter what game it is... it keeps happening. The last thing i downloaded was trigger viewer 2 but i don't see how that affects it... besides all that, an older map I made.. for some reason is giving me an error when i try to open it. The current map I'm working on opens fine but when i click save bodda boom.. i get the error. Can anyone help? I've looked at other threads about backups and i don't understand them soo.. yea

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Delete the 2 gig file inside scmdraft's folder or delete some backuped maps in scmdraft's backup database (it may be a hidden file).

At least your case sounds like your backup database has reached its limit.

Yea, this happens to me too. Also, after I save my map, none of the hotkeys work. Any way to make them usable again?

O, nvm, didn't see post above me

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

if your backup database in the scmdraft folder is larger than 1GB delete it.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[04:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
