So I have this new Widescreen monitor, and StarCraft is getting stretched out to fit the screen. I can't seem to find any way to disable scaling it up to fit the monitor. The ATI Catalyst Control suite doesn't offer shit either. Any ideas?

Did you check your monitor settings?

What was so complicated about this? It is widescreen. Everything works perfectly. Old programs like StarCraft have a fixed resolution of 640x480. I need to know how to tell the computer not to scale these programs to widescreen. Ie: I want black bars on the side of the screen.

Can you change the monitor's horizontal screen size? You'd have to change it every time you wanted to play SC, but it would work.

You could get a program that lets you run starcraft in a window, then just resize the window to the size you want...
Get one from: www.creepcolony.com or www.starcraftsector.com. I haven't been on sector for a while but I think it's down...

Sometime I may include something in SCMLoader to help with getting the resolution settings you want for SC.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
