Probably when I was about 8 or 9, I was watching my brother play SC and saw someone that had Inferno in their name. It sounded cool, so I picked that up. I was originally Inferno and then some string of numbers that I forget, but then I joined a now dead clan (I'd never join a "clan" nowadays) which had the lil- tag. It died out years ago but I've since kept the tag.
Also, what did you have for breakfast or some other irrelevant crap?
Before things get out of hand, I think this needs to be said.
Does the way your name looks really determine who you are? This thread is to post meanings of your name, not to
criticize names and put yours above them just because they might have a minor flaw with their appearance,
and because they're unique. Names that are too generic bore me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imago_deiI spelled it wrong because Del Tackett did. Not sure how he got it wrong.

Sacrieur is from a French MMO called
Dofus. It is a class; specifically, these guys:

The class is Sacrier in English. They're basically berserkers with a twist: the more damage they receive, the stronger they become. Basically a masochist class that takes pain and turns it against their foe. I adopted the name because I loved the unique character design and because of my hypo-sensitivity and unusually high tolerance for pain.

Mine came from this obscure internet video you've probably never heard of.

But why did you choose it?
As for Azrael, it's the name of the angel of death and vengeance from various religions.

I chose it due to the vengeance part, to represent my strong sense of justice.
When my cousin showed me this game in '04/'05, I was like "LOLDRAGONS" and made by username "DragonS1ayer" because "DragonSlayer" was taken. A few weeks/months later, I forgot the password or something, so I made a new account that sounded similar, which was "Dem0nS1ayer." Since everyone just calls me Dem0n, I decided to shorten it to that.

In 1999 I got really into StarCraft and wanted to write a fanfiction story for it, so I was trying to think of cool sounding names for my main character (I was 12 or 13 at the time, mind you). There's a friend of my family's named Dean Devlin who I thought had the coolest name on the planet, so I decided to name that main character "Devlin". Then as I got into online gaming, I started to use that name as my own handle, as well as continued to use the name for every main character in everything I had written from that point onward (or as easter eggs in some cases, i.e. the Video Games episode of "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!"

). The capitalized "N" came from mapmaking on StarCraft, specifically from clan tags and overlapping text. A lot of mapmaking clans I had joined had tags at the end, so I started to like the look of "DevliN[K]" over "Devlin[K]". When it came to overlaps, "DevliN" always looked cleaner and boxier to me than "Devlin" so I just stuck with it.

We've had this thread before.
My sister really liked Launch for DB, which lived in Kame house. So to impress her I had a Kame username too. Fire was because LOL FIRE IS FUNNY to a 14 year old.
Now it's grown on me. Also, turtles are fucking adorable.
Mine is for this site specifically; normally I'd go by a different handle. I chose this a while back because I lurked on the site for a while. The numbers used to have some significance, but that's since been lost.
Kind of an odd choice in retrospect, since SEN was going through a sort of xenophobia at the time and announcing "I've been stalking your boards and now I'm trying to participate" seems less than prudent.

Tuxedo-Templar: Thought a templar* wearing a tuxedo painted a picture of style in some Starcraft-relevant way. Not a ton of thought behind it. Abstractly stylish without strictly making sense. Seemed fitting.
Tuxlar: Starcraft loses
some personal relevance to me, wanted some uniqueness to my name without shedding its origin. Still stylish, though.

Was helping a friend with a project about Uranus back in 2002/03 and found out there was a moon called
Sycorax (which again is named after a character in Shakespeare's
The Tempest). I was sort of looking for a better name than my old one (Soul'Hunter, which I got from the random name generation in Worms World Party. Dunno where the ' came from.) and I was somewhat obsessed with the letter Z at the time, so I replaced the S with a Z to make it more unique. Long gone are the days when I only got two hits on Google
(or as easter eggs in some cases, i.e. the Video Games episode of "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!"

).
Oh my god, I saw that and was like "no way"
Um, I always had an affinity for names composed of two words (human xbox gamertag generator amirite?

). One thing that always bothered my was when people put excessive amounts of numbers at the end of their names. I guess to me it made the name not as unique. Another thing that bothered me were "x"'s in the name, but to each their own right? I was like 10 when I picked my name, but since then I go by another handle, and Generalpie is used exclusively on this site (mostly because I can't afford a title, let alone a name change

)

SCRuler is my handle I use most places. Like on youtube.

So back when I was a stupid kid I first went with MrUnknown because "no one knew who I was". After a while I figured that was lame so just went through the dictionary to find a cool word. At the time I didn't really know much about chemistry.

I was originally TikTokClok[HaZ) on sc1 because it was part of the lyrics of a crappy song called "clock" by Coal Chamber, and fuck the letter c. A friend of mine named fizzy wanted to get my attention and made the account "TIKELS" and spammed me... I loved it so much i adopted it.
Fizzy has a SEN account last I checked.

I was born under the sign of The Warrior, trained by the hermits of the east hills, and given a weapon by the lady of the lake. Until I had acquired my sword I had been given no name at all. The blade and I are one, its name became my own.
